Agenda and reminders for the week of March 5, 2012
**I apologize for the lack of post last week. My mind was apparently still on winter break :/
In ELA/Reading we are reading Mr Bones: Dinosaur Hunter. This story is about real person name Barnum Brown who was an archaeologist(good word to look up in a dictionary!). This story's phonics lesson focuses on long o words (oa, ow). The secondary phonics concept deals with three letter blends (ie spl, scr, str). Grammar for this unit deals with adjectives.

-having your child make a long o (two vowels go walking and ow) flip book with various words.
*repeat the phrase "when to vowel go walking the first one does the talking and the second one is silent to reinforce the sound*
